Chris Davies

D.O.P., Anoraks

Chris is 37 years-old and lives in South Wales. When he was growing up, his father ran a commercial photography business in Bridgend where Chris spent countless hours in the studio just watching his father perform "wizardry with lighting". He would often stay late to learn and then master the art of loading film reels in the dark and experiment with fun-sounding photography techniques like 'dodging' and 'burning'. It was then that Chris became hooked, and it wasn't just from the fumes off the chemical baths, either! Photography in one form was always going to be part of Chris' path in life.

From there, he founded his first video production company back in 2006. As Chris says, "I like to think my background in photography and my understanding of the process of film is what brings that little bit of extra quality to my (video) work. Knowing the fundamental principles behind what makes a great shot and combining this with the possibilities offered by digital means, my clients get the best of both worlds – exceptional quality video that is also designed to catch the eye of modern audiences."

Chris is now the owner of Colour Black Productions which is a creative video Production Agency based in Port Talbot. Colour Black is a fully serviced creative video production agency, providing affordable, high quality video production services to businesses from across the UK. At the heart of everything they do is the desire to help businesses of all sizes tell their story and connect with their audience. Colour Black's videos have had proven success in helping companies not only grow their audience, but also increase their engagement and sell more products. The company is particularly experienced in creating video content for the healthcare sector, but they have also made films for a diverse range of industries, from personal development coaches to university branding, from graphic designers to restaurants.
